UCLouvain is very pleased to welcome in its Louvain-la-Neuve Science Park, the first and biggest in Belgium, the equally first Chinese business center focused on innovative technologies in Europe. Together with CBTC and as partners of United Investment Europe, we proudly share the ambition to become a hub for academic, scientific and business relations between Belgium and China.
The CBTC is one highly visible materialization of Chinese investments in Europe, and in Wallonia in particular. This investment in Walloon Brabant, precisely in Louvain-la-Neuve, is a fantastic recognition of the quality of our infrastructures, the quality of our high-tech companies, and the quality of our higher education. But, the CBCT is much more than a financial investment, It materializes the physical link between Europe and Asia. It builds an honest and sincere relationship and participates in making Eurasia the heart of the international multilateral system.
Our collaboration with the Chinese province of Hubei began seven years ago. This stems from Wallonia's concrete desire to develop partnerships with these regions of internal China. This allows us to create an innovative ecosystem between European and Walloon companies and companies that are symbols of a new, connected, modern and entrepreneurial China. We are now pleased to announce that the AWEX China Welcome Office will join the CBTC.
